Let’s Get Acquainted…

Howdy!

I’m Robyn Smith (But you knew that 😉).

Life, to me, is an adventure. Sometimes it’s a steep, rocky climb, but the View at the top, at least as a Believer, is guaranteed to be spectacular!

My greatest delight is encouraging people—helping them know how treasured they are, especially by God. Writing is one of my best tools. It became clear it was God’s gift when people told me how encouraging and “perfectly-timed” my thank-you notes or birthday cards were—even when they were six months late! (Yeah, that’s got to be God!)

Journeying with Jesus began at 19 years old, and He’s been my Lord, Savior, and Best Friend ever since. He’s helped me through hard times and given me lots of reasons to celebrate. He’s my favorite subject to talk about (as you’ll discover here).

I’m a wife, mom, writer (duh), and now Nonnie. (YAY!) I love kids (I raised and homeschooled six of them), nature (we camped a LOT), and Jesus (not necessarily in that order). (You’ll see lots of those things here, too.)

Now that my children are grown, I have time to write more than notes, so I’ve begun writing books* and other materials for children and adults alike. (*You can find out more in the “Books” tab.)

I love a good road trip, playing in the creek, and peppermint ice cream all year round (but it has to have the little candy bits in it, or it doesn’t count). Most of all, I love the Lord and want others to know Him, too.

Fun Facts, in case you want to know more:

My BIG MOMENTS include playing Michael Darling in Peter Pan as a fourth grader and “flying” on stage. (That was a thrill!) Also, organizing and hosting a schoolwide talent show as a fifth grader (I might have peaked a little early. Lol!) Of the various jobs I’ve worked, from the Midwest to the Big Apple, my forever favorite (besides being a wife, mom, and Nonnie) was working at a concession stand selling corn dogs, “elephant ears,” and shake-ups at local fairs and events. (So much fun!) But my greatest honor has been an invitation-only seat at the kids’ table for family gatherings. (Did I mention I love kids? Maybe it’s because I still am one! 😉)

What can you tell me about you? Send me a note in the “Contact” section; I’ll do my best to write back. God bless your day, and know you are treasured!
